Boston - Sheldon Thwaites, the youngest brother of the musically-gifted Thwaites family was one of ten recipients to receive a full scholarship to the Berklee College Of Music.  This special honor is just another in a long list for the young drummer and panist.

The name Thwaites is well-known among the steelpan music scene.  Berklee graduates, brothers Sherwin and Shawn are established musicians who have dedicated themselves and their music talents, to furthering and popularization of the steelpan instrument, culture and music.  Their father was also a member of the famed Pan Am North Stars steel orchestra from the island of Trinidad.

Sheldon also recently did recording stints with Grammy award-winning performer Lauryn Hill for her upcoming CD, and can be heard playing drums and anchoring New York's Pantonic Steel Orchestra s for their 2005 panyard recording of their winning panorama selection "Action" - as arranged by the late Master arranger Clive Bradley.
