An Acoustic Revolution -- June 20th, 2004 -- Lincoln Center, New York... Something different this way comes… For those for whom a steel drum conjures up images of a cruise ship or a Caribbean vacation, a pleasant surprise awaits in the form of a Father’s Day show at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall. The instrument’s humble origins notwithstanding, pan has played many genres of music, if not as many venues. The show on June 20th, 2004 marks the debut of the Pan Jazz format at Lincoln Center. |
