This was a weekend of great pan events...  Europe, the Caribbean, New York and Japan just to name a few...  Over 4000 people The third annual YOKOHAMA STEEL PAN FIESTA in Yokohama City, Japan.  Eight steelbands participated from all over from Japan.

This year Mangrove Junior Steelband took no prisoners when they captured their fifth consecutive Notting Hill Junior Panorama title. Arranger, Debra Romain’s solid arrangements supported by their tight playing and brilliant execution of ‘Look the Band Coming’, ensured their victory over arch rivals, Ebony.

Three of the New York heavy weights - CASYM, Pantonic, and Sonatas -  dazzled the excited Sunday evening crowd with their varied musical repertoire.  The bands let it be known that they will be coming strong and ready for the upcoming New York panorama.  However,  the evening belonged to Harmony Steel Orchestra who stole the hearts of the crowd.  Harmony made up of mostly pre-teenagers put on a spirited performance that struck a chord with the captured audience.
