Global -  It is incredibly sad to learn of Ralph MacDonald’s passing in the early hours of this morning (December 18, 2011)!!  When Steel Talks extends our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Ralph. He was a true friend, fan and ardent supporter of When Steel Talks and Pan.

Ralph’s music is world-renowned; he is the co-composer of such hits as Just The Two Of Us (Bill Withers), Where Is The Love (Roberta Flack & Donny Hathaway) and Calypso Breakdown from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack - to name but a few.

Together with ace steelpan artist Robert Greenidge, Ralph was a visual and dynamic driving percussive force with the iconic Jimmy Buffet band.

His last CD, Mixty Motions was released in 2007 and featured Greenidge on steelpan.   When Steel Talks was privileged to sit down with this iconic artist in 2007 for an extended, no-holds-barred interview.  It is re-visited at the link below.
