Pan Trinbago brings on ‘Champz of Steel Plus’

replaces Champs In Concert, the Pan Trinbago
post-Carnival show on Saturday 20 February 2010, at the
Queen’s Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain, from 8:00 p.m.
Describing the event as “a
euphoric experience of sight and sound featuring the
most exciting, exhilarating, versatile instrument of the
21st century,” producer Ian Wiltshire added “there will
be the best of Steel, Mas & Soca music from Carnival
2010 in a mind-blowing spectacle of laser lights and
sound.”

2010 Steelband
Panorama Champions -
PCS Silver Stars, Steel Xplosion, Arima Golden Symphony, LH Pan Groove and the Junior Panorama winners - St.
Augustine Secondary Steel Orchestra.
Added attractions include George
Bailey Band of the Year (Large) winner Brian Mac
Farlane’s “Resurrection – The Mas” with the King and
Queen of the Band, Junior Band of the Year (Large)
winner Rosalind Gabriel, Calypso Monarch Kurt Allen,
Road March champion JW & Blaze of Palance fame, Queen of
Carnival Rosemarie Kuru-Jagessar and Junior Calypso
monarch Aaron Duncan.
Other “champs” carded to perform
according to producer Wiltshire are Shurwayne
Winchester, Divine Echoes, Bunji Garlin, Fay Ann Lyons
and the Asylum Band, Gypsy and Lingo in an extempo war
and Curtis Eustace, as well as the Junior King and Queen
of Carnival.
Tickets priced are on sale at
Cleve’s and Crosby’s North and South record shops, at
Pan Trinbago’s Head Office and at the Queen’s Park
Savannah Ticket Booth on the day of the show.
The three-hour production brings
down the curtain on Carnival 2010.
