Denzel Headley is B.A. Student of UWI, St. Augustine, Trinidad & Tobago and is a professional musician proficient in percussion, drumming and all steelpan instruments. Mr. Headley is a member of the UWI Steel Arts Ensemble, UWI Percussion Ensemble and UWI Arts Jazz Ensemble. He the current drummer in the Nailah Blackman’s band “SOKAH” and arranger for TIPICA Steel Orchestra.
Mr. Headley arranged for the school steel orchestra “Bishop Anstey Trinity College” placing 2nd & 3rd respectively in separate school’s Panorama competitions. The school also won the Music Festival under his arrangement. He co-arranged for TIPICA Steel Orchestra with his father Harold Headley in 2017 & 2018. His talent has been accentuated by various artistes: Machel Montano, Kes, Shenseea, Voice, Marge Blackman, Calypso Rose, Turner, Super Blue, Rembunction, Explainer, Gypsy, Simba Armani, Nehilet Blackman and Temperature the band with his accompaniment as a percussionist & drummer. He has performed locally, regionally and internationally representing his country. Performances include St. Lucia, Belize, Panama, Mexico, New York.
