Composed by “The Mongoose” and arranged by Nigel Chase, Stingy Brim is a tune written in memory of Lord Kitchener. According to the composer and arranger, Stingy Brim  “needs lyrics; if anyone is inclined, please feel free to write them.”

“The Mongoose” is the son of a calypsonian by the name of the Mighty Impostor, and Nigel Chase is the son of Carl Chase who founded the Atlantic Clarion Steel Band in 1974.  All live and work with Calypso and steelbands in Maine, USA, having learned a great deal over the years initially from a book written by Pete Seger, then later from Roland Harrigin, Jit Samaroo and the Samaroo Jets.
