PRESS RULES

 

All press are admitted and placed at the discretion of Hall Management.  We must receive a list of press authorized by you to photograph or videotape an event no later than 1 business day prior to your event. 

 

STILL PHOTOGRAPHY

 

  1. Still photographers must carry official NYPD press credentials or a letter of invitation from the event producer/presenter or the presenter’s press representative. Upon presentation of credentials, a Lincoln Center photo pass will be issued which must be carried at all times.

 

  1. In a performance situation, photographer must shoot from a photo booth located at rear of the auditorium. The distance from this point to the stage is app. 85 feet. A 200mm lens is recommended for tight shots. In certain situations (motor drives, excessively noisy shutters, etc.) photographer must shoot through a glass window in an enclosed booth in order to minimize any disturbance to the audience.

 

  1. Photographer must use available light. Additional lighting and flash photography is not permitted. Plugging into hall AC outlets for power is not permitted.

 

ELECTRONIC MEDIA

 

1.      Only news programs may videotape according to the following rules.  Videotaping for any other kind of programming, including talk shows, magazine shows, documentaries, commercial or non-commercial broadcast, or archival purposes, requires a contract with the Booking Office and will incur substantial additional charges.  Contact the Booking Office at least 14 business days prior to the event to ensure the contract and payment process will be completed.

 

2.      Video news crews must carry official NYPD press credentials and upon presentation to the manager, will be issued a Lincoln Center photo pass which must be carried at all times.

 

3.      Video crew must shoot from one fixed position in booth at rear of the auditorium.

 

4.      Video crew must be completely self-contained and use available light and ambient sound. It is not permitted to plug into hall AC outlets for power.

 

5.      A maximum of 15 minutes of continuous shooting is permitted. A maximum of 3 minutes may be excerpted for broadcast.
