Panorama Winners to Receive
Trophies at Pan Trinbago Awards Function on
Saturday
Winners in the various Panorama 2007
competitions will receive their trophies when
Pan Trinbago hosts the 1st Annual
Anthony Williams Awards and President’s Ball.
This is in addition to the 21 individuals
receiving commemorative awards on Saturday 8th
December at the PCS Starlift Pan Theatre,
Mucurapo Extension Road, St. James.
The formal affair is in recognition of the
outstanding contributions made by honorees, all
of whom have in their own right played important
roles in the development of the instrument and
the steelpan artform.
Recipients include Neville Jules, Marie Toby,
Eric Charles (posthumous), Bertille St. Clair,
Cecil Harewood, Mrs. Joan Yuille-Williams, Ms.
Sandra Awai, Jim Mc Clean (Pan Guard), Northern
Region – Pan Trinbago and employees Helen
Scanterbury and Cecilia Moore.
Specially invited guests include the newly-
appointed Minister of Community Development,
Culture & Gender Affairs Marlene Mc Donald,
Minister of State in the above Ministry Donna
Cox and Parliamentary Secretary Junia Regrello.
The public and guests alike will have an
opportunity to celebrate the “winners” after
which they can dance to the music of Joey Lewis,
Joylanders Steel Orchestra, Amantes De Paranda
Parang Group, Kenny J and DJs Steve Neaves and
CG.
Paying patrons will have an opportunity to win a
valuable door prize from the Liz Mannette
Collection of authentic steelpan fashion
accessories.
