Pan Trinbago. Inc. will be staging the 2nd
Anthony Williams Awards Ceremony & President’s
Ball at the Andre Kamperveen Hall, Dr. Joao
Havelange Centre of Excellence, Macoya Road,
Tunapuna, on Friday 28th November 2008 at 8:00
pm.
National Award 2008 recipient Bertie Marshall,
Neville Jules and Len “Boogsie” Sharpe will be
inducted into the Anthony Williams Hall of Fame
while ten (10) individuals and steel orchestras
will receive commemorative awards. Two persons
will be recognized for their long and invaluable
service to the pan body.

Richard Forteau - Long Service – 28 years
Owen Serrette - Long Service -30 years
This initiative by the Pan Trinbago seeks to
recognize outstanding contributions in the
development of the instrument and the art form.
In other related news, Ms. Judy Arthur will
receive a Special Award for her dedication and
care of steelpan icon Anthony Williams.
After the presentation of awards which begins at
8:00 pm, the public and guests will have an
opportunity to celebrate with the “winners” at
the President’s Ball. Dress is formal.
Music for dancing will be supplied by Pal Joey
Lewis Orchestra, WITCO Desperadoes and DJ
Richard Two lucky ticket holders will receive
gifts.
