Maryland, USA - Join the Pan Masters Steelband Organization (PMSO) on May 30, in preserving the art form commonly referred to as THE STEEL PAN as they celebrate Pan Masters’ Steelband Jamboree 2010 at 4509 Rhode Island Avenue, North Brentwood, Maryland, commencing at 2:00 p.m. sharp! The venue will complement a traditional outdoor setting for Pan Music Lovers and Enthusiasts along with food, craft and live entertainment until 10:00 p.m.

This year’s Jamboree will feature:

• Despers USA Steel Orchestra from New York

• Oasis Steel Orchestra from New Jersey

• Positive Vibrations Youth Steel Orchestra from Hyattsville, MD

• DC Pan Jammers, Inc Steel Orchestra from Washington, DC

• Pan Masters Steel Orchestra from North Brentwood, MD

As part of PMSO’s 25th Anniversary Celebrations, and in keeping with their mission, Pan Masters has successfully embraced this Jamboree to develop and encourage cross-cultural programs within the community serviced by the organization in the expansion of Caribbean culture. Additionally, the organization has developed and fostered a program to educate youths, adults in Caribbean arts, crafts, culture and teach them the art of “playing” the steel pan.
