Kevhani Greenaway is a 20-year-old steel pan musician and tutor from Antigua and Barbuda. He has been playing pan for 7 years with the Hells Gate Steel Orchestra. Through the early years of his development as a young maestro he played with PMS Serenaders, the official steel band for the secondary school he attended.
When introduced to the instrument his first love was the bass pan but he gradually developed a deep appreciation and eventual love for the double second. He has been playing bass for all of his pan life and has worked hard to become the senior bass player for Hells Gate where he takes on various roles.
Kevhani’s talent as an arranger is ever growing through his practice. He arranged in the 2019 National Junior Panorama Competition Primary School section in which he placed second with the Villa Primary School, his alma mater, as well as the 2019 Gemonites Moods of Pan 25 A-Side. There he co-arranged with Demetre Samuel for the Hells Gate Steel Orchestra in which they also placed second. His goal in his musical journey is to become an exceptional arranger/soloist.
