Meet Thadel Wilson of Canada - Steelpan Performing Artist

Thadel Wilson is a brilliant young Canadian panist living in Toronto. He is an accomplished musician that uses his talent in many forms.

Known in the steelpan community as Thad, his beginning started at the Jesse Ketchum Summer Program at a young age. This spiked his passion to continue playing the steelpan, eventually growing up to become very versatile on all the steelpans. He ventured to play in all bands in Toronto such as Pan Fantasy Steelband, Silhouettes, Pan Masters, Metro Tones, Symphonix, Panatics, and Souls of Steel Orchestra.

Through his 25 years of experience he was able to travel throughout North America, and across the Islands. Thadel ventured to travel and play in bands such as Phase 2 and Desperadoes in Trinidad & Tobago. He has continued to develop his skills as one of the prominent arrangers in Toronto New Dimension Steel Orchestra, and is an inspiration to youths. His focus is to ignite change within the younger generation of panists, by spreading awareness and educating others about steelpan.
