STEELBAND "MI-SO-LA" began with three
persons in Fukushima Prefecture Koriyama City, Japan, in January, 2001.
There are now 27 members in the orchestra. Takahiro Watanabe, a member
of Mi-So-La, does
most of the arrangements. However, recently Mr. Andy Sheafe
from Trinidad & Tobago was asked to work with the band as well. Their tuner is Ryo Sonobe
who also made the band's six bass. Most of
their pans were manufactured by Trinidad and Tobago Instruments Limited and purchased
via Nonaka Boeki Co. Ltd. Of MI・SO・LA's
27 members, two belong to other steel orchestras in Japan.
While the band does not have a CD or DVD at the moment, they look
forward to having a project in the works soon. Visit the
