Pan Elders Steel Orchestra, located at #18A Carib Street, San Fernando in south Trinidad was founded in 1999.
It emanates from the ‘bowels’ of the now- retired pan players of bygone years - hence the band’s name. The organization consists of mainly youths of the southern area.
Pan Elders has the distinguished reputation of being one of the leading orchestras in their category, from the South/Central region. To date their achievements has lives on the lips of many San Fernandians. For a band that is relatively in its youth, it can boast of being the band that represented the renowned Guinness Cavaliers at the Champs of the 20th century show, held by Pan Trinbago.
Having ruled the Small Band Category in the National Panorama, with champion status in 2008, the band has been a persistent finalist in the medium category in which they now compete. The band can also boast of being the undefeated champions of the Marabella festival and a host of other achievements.
Pan Elders continues to strive for the ultimate excellence in this art form. And they remain on this path, with Panorama championships in the medium category in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
