Sonatas Steel Orchestra
Sonatas Steel Orchestra
In 2001 the New York Steelband music community made history
as the major franchises came together and staged their own
panorama competition. The event is considered one of the
greatest achievements in the North American steelband music
movement. That competition delivered a number of classic
performances and arrangements. The New York Times reported that over 20,000 people attended the event. In this
Pan Classic moment,
featured are Sonatas Steel Orchestra with one hundred and
twenty-five players players performing “Rain
Melody” as arranged by Earl Brooks.
