Caribbean Steel Pan and Classical Music

CASYM
, or, the Caribbean American Sports and Cultural Youth Movement, founded in 1983 by William Jones, is an extraordinary group of young people from Brooklyn who perform on steel pan instruments not only the music of the Caribbean Islands, but also classical music that matches the standard of a full symphonic orchestra. The members of this group are part of an organization which promotes diversity and excellence among young people, and their awesome talent makes for an uplifting and exciting educational demonstration!  CASYM's new CD will be available this summer.  Click below for sneak sample preview and more info.
