PAN TALENT

* Born in Gonzales, grew up (early years) near Desperadoes in the cauldron of Pan’s bloody baptism

* Relocated at 11 to “other” Laventille, around the corner from Bertie Marshall’s experimental lab (his living room)

* Relocated in mid-teens to Quarry Street (between Casablanca and City Syncopators) but joined Trinidad All Stars at the famous “garret” on Charlotte Street the year of Intermezzo, Liebestraum, Barcarolle and Humoresque (all Bombs). Performed with the band’s stage ensemble (the post-Carnival fete circuit and at Trinidad Hilton poolside engagements). Relocated to New York City, though continuing to play pan during the Carnival with All Stars – after completing military service in Vietnam – with emphasis on the Bombs.

* Obligatory duty/tribute to Bertie Marshall – played (double tenor) for Highlanders in 1971
