Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - The THA (Tobago House of Assembly) Pan Champs 2012 competition took place last evening, February 14, at the Garden Side Car Park, Scarborough in Trinidad’s sister isle of Tobago.
Seventeen (17) bands competed in three categories: Large Conventional Steel Orchestras, Small Conventional Steel Orchestras and Single Pan bands.
In the large conventional steel orchestra category, Katzenjammers retained the title with 286 points. Tobago Pan-Thers and Metro Stars claimed victory in the Small Conventional Steel Orchestra and Single Pan Band categories, respectively.
While results were announced at the end of the show, the prize-giving distribution function will be held at a later date. The competition was broadcast live on Tobago’s very own Radio Tambrin.
