Choklet
|
New York-based soca
songster Choklet was
born in the twin-island
country of Trinidad
and Tobago. Choklet
migrated to the United
States where she pursued
her studies in nursing.
At an early age, her
family and friends recognized
her creative talents.
Choklet’s first album
Hot, generated
hits like
La Diabless, Soca to
Mambo, Lies,
and many more. Her single
Move followed,
and indeed had everyone
‘moving’ all over Europe
and the Caribbean. For
2004, Choklet delivered
Jook Na and in
2005 came
Miami Vibes,
still hitting the airways.
The songstress continued
to please, and in 2008
collaborated with Hayden
Lynch for the first
time on the track
Musical Invention.
The pair joined
up again in 2011 for
Children You Must Love
Your Mother.
A third match-up for
the 2012 Panorama
season has resulted
in
Steel
Pan Melody.

Hayden Lynch
Hayden Lynch hails from
Trinidad W.I, where
he was born in 1957
in the village of Tunapuna,
east Trinidad. At age
five he started to play
Pan on an old tenor
pan in his back yard.
The first song he learned,
which was self-taught,
was “Somewhere My Love.”
Lynch’s first experience
of playing in a steelband,
“Klondyte,” was when
he was just nine. He
went on to play for
many others orchestras
such as Delphonic, Curepe
Scherzando, Sforzata
and Desperadoes just
to name a few. In 1990
he migrated to the USA
and I continued playing
pan with ADLIB and Despers
USA.
Steel
Pan Melody is
his third song with
Elva King. In 2008 she
sang
Musical
Invention, 2011
-
Children You Must Love
Your Mother and
for 2012, this track,
Steel
Pan Melody.
