FLASH!
in the Pans
is a 44–member
community steel band. FLASH! began
in 1990 as an adult education class
under the musical direction of Carl
Chase and has been performing ever since.
FLASH! is most well known for our enormously
popular weekly street dances during
the summer, which are fund-raisers for
local charitable organizations.
We hosted the 2001 New England Steelband
Festival featuring workshops with the
Samaroo Jets. FLASH!, together
with our teen-age group, Planet Pan,
joined forces to win first place at
the Montreal International Steelband
Festival in 2006. FLASH! has recorded
three CDs.
