The Spirit of  The Drum!

Even before the unspeakable horrors of the Middle Passage, before our Ancestors were ripped from their lands in Africa, the DRUM  carried our messages on the wings of the wind, and through the vibrations felt deep in the earth.

They who perished in the Black Holocaust of over 100 million blacks - their cries will never be silenced, and their spirits continue to communicate through the DRUM.  The Steelpan aka Steeldrums played their part at the emotionally-charged commemoration observed annually at Coney Island in New York.

New York Pan Serves Notice!

The New York Pan Season is much more than panorama.  Performing were Pan Phonic,
Caribbean Youth Panoramics, Sonatas, Pantonic, Marsicans, Dem Stars, Utopia Pan Soul: The Next Generation and CASYM.  Each band  served notice that they will be forces to be reasoned with this year.  Most of the bands dropped whole new repertoires on the captive audience that displayed their versatility and musicianship.  No "wuf"  tickets here - the bands came out to play.
