Trinidad
& Tobago, W.I. -
Since 1999 Pan Trinbago, in its
efforts to stabilize and
solidify the steel pan movement,
has
promoted the competition
Pan in the 21st
Century. Now, the
inclusion of steel orchestras
from Pan in the 21st
Century events in the “NAPA (National
Academy for the Performing Arts)
Festival” project, gives the steelpan community the
opportunity to showcase the
versatility of the national
instrument in the acoustically
designed NAPA space.
Steel
orchestras which participated in Pan in the 21st
Century competitions from
1999-2009 were selected to be
part of the NAPA Festival
project.
