PAN: Independence, Renaissance, and Beyond

Lincoln Center’s Summer for the City

New York, USA - This 75-minute production, on Thursday, August 4 at 7:30 p.m. - performed in commemoration of Trinidad & Tobago’s 60th anniversary of independence, features the steelpan—Trinidad & Tobago’s national instrument. The instrument is symbolic and serves as a measure of independence, renaissance, and continued growth.

Venue is the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York.

Attendees will hear a variety of music performed by the Elite Pan Consortium, alongside a backdrop of imagery and art representative of each era.

Presented in celebration of the Diamond Jubilee Anniversary of the Independence of Trinidad and Tobago under the distinguished Patronage of Mr. J. André Laveau, Consul General of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

This event is free and open to the public. Seating and entry are first-come, first-served; the line will form at the Atrium’s entrance on Broadway, between 62nd and 63rd Street.

Vaccinations, boosters & face coverings

All guests will be required to provide proof that the final dose of their primary COVID-19 vaccination series was administered at least 14 days before entry....Guests are encouraged but not required to receive a COVID-19 booster if eligible— based on eligibility determined by the CDC.

Additionally, all guests are required to wear a face covering at all times except when actively eating or drinking.
