Castries, Saint Lucia, W.I. - Seven schools will perform in this year’s inaugural National Schools Pan Festival scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the SAB, Vigie, Castries.
The Pan Festival forms part of the activities for Junior Carnival and was developed by the CPMC (Carnival Planning & Management Committee) in an effort to ensure the sustainability of the rich cultural aspects of Lucian Carnival such as Steel Pan. The National Schools Pan Festival also promotes the involvement of all students and Schools across the island have an opportunity to be a part of Carnival celebrations.
The seven schools participating in what promises to be a spectacular showcase of musical excellence are as follows.
Participating Schools:
- Micoud Primary
- Laborie Combined Schools (Laborie Girls/Boys & Augier Combined)
- Corinth Secondary
- Patricia James Secondary school
- Soufriere Comprehensive / Canaries Primary
- St. Mary’s College
- Anglican Primary & RC Boys
Tickets for this year’s Festival cost EC$10 per student and EC$20 per adult and can be purchased from participating schools, Steve’s Barbershop, and the Cell outlets island-wide.
