St. John’s, Antigua & Barbuda, W.I. - If you have the opportunity to be in Antigua, or are travelling within the Caribbean later this month, a phenomenal night of steelband music can be had for those lucky enough to make it. Veteran music organization Hell’s Gate Steel Orchestra (HGSO)—the country’s reigning national Panorama champion—is hosting its 2024 Panorama Launch entitled “This is Carnival” on Saturday, May 25, 7:30 p.m. at the Villa Primary School in St. John’s.
In addition to the host band, other top-tier steel orchestras are expected among the performers to delight music lovers. “Confirmed to perform are Original Steel Orchestra, Harmonites Steel Orchestra, Panache Steel Orchestra, West Side Symphony, The Eustace Manning Henry Steelpan Academy, Black Eagle Steel Orchestra,” says Hell’s Gate’s Public Relations Officer Jabari K. Edwards.
Another reason to make this a must-attend event? Hell’s Gate Steel Orchestra will reveal its Panorama 2024 selection for the competition, and - the other bands on hand might just do the same.
For those unable to make it in person on May 25, there is a possibility of the event being streamed live. But naturally, to be sure you do not miss the event at all - be there!

Admission is EC $25.00 for adults, and EC $15 for young people under the age of 16.
