United Kingdom - The ‘Call for Papers’ for the 11th Steelpan/Carnival Arts Conference has been extended to 6th December 2024.
Following nine successful conferences/workshops being held in the UK between 2006 to 2022, the 10th Conference was held in Ghana in December 2023. With Carnival arts so deeply embedded in its huge Diaspora, this conference is seen as a homecoming of the Diaspora - as one big “Famalay.”
The 11th Steelpan/Carnival Arts Conference is being organised jointly by the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT), the ‘International Carnival Conference Committee’ (ICCC) and the ‘International Journal of Carnival Arts’ (IJCA) - and will be held at the elegant theatres of the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA) between 6-8th March 2025.
