
Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - The Trinbago Unified Calypsonians’ Organisation (TUCO) were the organizers of the Calypso Fiesta 2025 competition, held on Saturday February 22. The competitive calypso showcase got underway not long after 3:00 p.m. AST (Atlantic Standard Time).
Forty semi-finalists participated in the competition at Skinner Park in San Fernando, south Trinidad, which concluded just after 12:30 a.m.
TUCO has released the names of the eleven Calypsonians who qualified for the finals. They move on to the calypso monarch Dimanche Gras Finals on Sunday March 2 at Carnival City, Queen’s Park Savannah in Port-of-Spain. They will be challenging the reigning monarch, Machel Montano, for his title.
