Vibrations In Steel Christmas Concert
comes to Brooklyn, New York
Capacity Crowd Expected To Attend
  • WHAT:    The première steelband Christmas show is in America... Throughout the Caribbean, Christmas represents very a celebratory time of the year...  The magic of the steel orchestras is an irreplaceable part of Caribbean Christmas culture and experience.  Indeed the steelbands play an important role in those celebrations...  New York area steelbands will open their hearts to share that magical cultural experience...  Over 1000 people are expect to attend.

    • WHY:    Inspired by, and the global popularization of - the pan movement, the Vibration In Steel Christmas show will highlight the popularity, beauty and versatility of the steelpan instrument...  Billed as "a show for all the family", this Christmas event has an instant appeal that intrigues and delights people of all ages without resorting to mindless entertainment.  The steelpan, the only instrument developed within the last 100 years is viewed by many as a miracle instrument...  Moreover, it is becoming the instrument of choice throughout the US...  Music is magic and the image of the steel orchestra and their engine room grabs the imagination of everyone and this annual show offers its audiences a chance to see and hear New York steelband personalities, arrangers and bands perform live, up-close and on stage in an intimate setting.
