The group's first concert was both an artistic and financial success, as the group displayed a keen sense of marketing, production and business acumen. Moreover they exhibited a clear vision on producing successful future events. The show left the near-capacity filled auditorium clamoring for more as they were treated to both an educationally and entertainingly rich cultural experience. Indeed, some of the best and more memorable musical performances to date were executed in that May 2003 show. Historically, New York Steelband Christmas shows have done extremely well (i.e. 2001 Reflections in Steel Concert at Be accustomed to a seasonal music treat that showcases the bands' versatility, showmanship and musicianship in an elegant and trendy presentation. Brooklyn Pan Ensemble has clearly demonstrated the ability to plan and execute an entertaining and professional show that the whole family can attend and enjoy. Expect these pan artists to elevate to another level as the artists, performances, and creative spirit will be flowing at the December event. The Vibrations In Steel Christmas Concert will be the first major performance by the New York area steelbands since the hotly contested and entertaining New York 2003 panorama. Perennial heavyweights like 2003 NY champions Pantonic and past champions like Sonatas and CASYM are sure to deliver rousing and memorable accounts of themselves. However, also to be reckoned with are musical staples like Utopia and CYP who will bring much to the table, as they demonstrated with rave review performances this past summer. CYP recently set the world record attendance for a performance by a single steelband at which over 7,000 people were present. Clearly, steelband activities, music and culture are on the rise in terms of popularity and interest worldwide. Ticket sales, concert attendance, and music purchases for this market are steadily increasing.
This is definitely an event you can't miss - tickets will move
fast! Expect this Christmas steel orchestra concert to
be sold out before long!
