Hugh Huggins, Jr.

First up on this week's program is pannist Hugh Huggins, Jr. whose pans are tuned by the world-renowned Herman "Guppy" Brown of Laventille, Trinidad and Tobago.  The marriage of Huggins' noteworthy compositions and execution, combined with Guppy's signature sound, is highlighted in the CD called "Forever Love."  Featured for the first time on Cool Steel is a Huggins, Jr. original composition called "Signal Hill Groove."

The selection from the last edition of Cool Steel  which got the most votes, submitted by email to panradio@panonthenet.com, was "Pan In 'A' Minor" by New Dimension Steel Orchestra from GrenadaVoted in at #2 and #3 respectively,  were Len "Boogsie" Sharpe's "First Born" and Desperadoes Steel Orchestra "Ordinary People."

Keep those emails coming!
