PanRadio travels around the globe in search of the world's best steelpan music.

New Dimension Steel Orchestra, as they rehearsed in New York on Saturday June 18, the day before the finals of the 2005 World Steelband Music Festival,
and were captured by  Basement Recordings,

Please note that we have extended our line-up of steelpan music for your enjoyment!  Archived shows are also in rotation, in addition to current steelpan programs.  Please keep this in mind regarding any obviously time-dated content in the shows, including events, information and advertisements!  And keep listening to PanRadio!

Grenada's New Dimension Steel Orchestra is first up on this edition of Cool Steel  - as well as being part of the line-up in the seventh annual Moods of Pan festival this weekend in Antigua.  Earlier this year, the orchestra was in New York for the finals of the World Steelband Music Festival, and competed with the piece that begins this program - "Poets and Peasants Overture."

The selection from the last edition of Cool Steel  which got the most votes, submitted by email to panradio@panonthenet.com, was "Moliendo Cafe" by Desperadoes Steel Orchestra from Trinidad & Tobago.  Voted in at #2 and #3 respectively, were Sound Specialists of Laventille also from Trinidad & Tobago with - "Morning Dance," and Sakésho with "Ewa Belia."

Keep those emails coming!
