Grenada's New Dimension Steel Orchestra is first
up on this edition of
Cool Steel
- as well as being part of the line-up in the seventh
annual Moods of Pan festival this weekend in Antigua. Earlier this
year, the orchestra was in New York for the finals of the World
Steelband Music Festival, and competed with the piece that begins this

The selection from the last edition of
Cool Steel
which got the most votes, submitted by email to
panradio@panonthenet.com, was "Moliendo
Cafe" by
Desperadoes Steel Orchestra from Trinidad & Tobago.
Voted in at #2 and #3 respectively, were Sound Specialists of
Laventille also from
Trinidad & Tobago with - "Morning
Dance," and Sakésho with "Ewa
