Pan Rebels Steel Orchestra - “Mind Yuh Business” - (‘Panyard’ version - Audio)

Len “Boogsie” Sharpe - Arranger

Brooklyn, New York, USA - A Len “Boogsie” Sharpe-arrangement of his 1996 composition ‘Mind Yuh Business.’ This arrangement was captured by Basement Recordings in Pan Rebels’ panyard - (behind what is today Kings Theater) - a few days before they take the stage for the 1996 New York Panorama competition.  Pan Rebels was young, fearless, immensely talented and forward-thinking.  Without doubt, Pan Rebels Steel Orchestra was our favorite group to record.  We were all on the same page in understanding how capturing and documenting the present could play out in the future.

Thank you Anthony “Pra” Trebuse, Gary Rogers and Michelle Williams for always having a parking space ready for Basement, LOL.

And a special thanks to Len “Boogsie” Sharpe for believing in the youthful Pan Rebels, and giving us here at Basement complete freedom, always telling us to “Go do your thing” (record the steel orchestra).
