Brooklyn, New York, USA - After four previous entries into the New York Panorama contest, Philadelphia Pan Stars Steel Orchestra recorded a third-place finish in the 2024 steelband music showcase. Veteran arranger Roger Greenidge uses a deliberate and melodious approach to the popular soca tune “Inventor.” This cohesive and rhythmically tight arrangement came within three points of the eventual victorious steel orchestra.
Basement Recordings was able to capture Philadelphia Pan Stars as they prepared on New York’s version of ‘The Drag’ before going on stage Panorama night, Saturday August 31.
