Mathieu Borgne began studying piano at the age of 7. At 17 he started playing drums and he studied with Yves Teslar and Brice Wassy.
He has played in 3 panoramas in Trinidad:
1998 - Tokyo
1999 - Tokyo and Skiffle Bunch
2001 - Despers
Since 1999 he has been teaching steel band music at Calypsociation in Paris, France. In 2000 he composed and arranged “Pani Pwoblem” for Calypsociation which they performed at the European Steel band festival and at the World Steel band festival in Trinidad. In 2001 he began working with Andy Narell and is presently at work on Andy's forthcoming steel band record, on which he plays drums and percussion.
