Hailing from Antigua, Gavin Francis is a steel pan soloist and
arranger. His specialty is the single tenor. At the age of 13, on invitation
from Victor “Babu” Samuel, he joined Antigua & Barbuda’s National Youth Pan
Orchestra, where he later became the captain and the first student to
arrange music for the group.
Some of his arranging influences, to name but a few, are Victor “Babu” Samuel, Veron Henry, Khan Cordice, Amrit Samaroo, Len “Boogsie” Sharpe, and Clive Bradley.
Gavin holds a Bachelors of Music degree from the Midwestern State University.
