Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - For the preliminary round, the East region is fielding the most bands in the medium conventional steel orchestra category of the 2023 Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama. Sangre Grande Cordettes is expected to begin at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday January 28, 2023 - the first of nine steel orchestras on the card to face judges in respective pan yards/communities - all in one evening.
Information from event organizer Pan Trinbago details the order they are scheduled to be judged. The eight steel orchestras expected to follow Sangre Grande Cordettes are: Melodians, Arima Angel Harps, Tunapuna Tipica, Sforzata, Curepe Scherzando, Moods, Pamberi and Potential Symphony. Steel orchestras from four regions—North, East, South/Central and Tobago—are competing in these preliminaries to move on to the National Semi-finals on Sunday February 5 at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain.
