Date:  8.22.05 New York Countdown to New York Steel Band Panorama 2005 Pelham Goddard An Exclusive Interview Ace arranger Pelham Goddard shares his thoughts with When Steel Talks on a host of steelband-related topics in yet another exclusive interview.  Pelham is currently in New York preparing Marsicans Steel Orchestra for the upcoming annual steelband music panorama competition.   Riding high off his recent World Steelband Music Festival victory, this multi-talented musician expresses some of his concerns on the direction of the steelpan music movement.   Pelham is insistent that the steelband must remain current and modern in terms of their panorama selections, in order to maintain the connection with, interest and participation of the younger generation.
