Verse 1 Ah write
this million dollar song
For Steelbands in T&T for Panorama
I was writing night after night
Till morning light to come up with an
idea
But ah take a shut-eye tonight
Creating this melody
’Cause this million dollar music song
so sweet
The north and grandstand jump to the
beat.
Chorus We play sweet Pan

Panorama bring out the best in all ah
we
Arrangers work so hard to make they
band sound good
Practice day and night
To do it right
Panorama night
We have it tight, tight, tight
Practice day and night
Until it tight
We go do it, do it, do it until it right
Verse 2 Any steelband play my song 2012 panorama
Must be a winner

Than any song play in the savannah
But ah wait to hear what arrangers did

The North and Grand Stand jump to the
beat
Verse 3 Well ah now complete meh song
With music and lyrics strong and awesome
And the judges for panorama attentively
Soak in the melody

And wish it could be a hit
’Cause this million dollar music so

The North and Grand Stand jump to the
beat
Dunstan Lawrence
made his calypso tent
debut in 1999. Though
probably not a very
familiar face to many
on the steelpan music
scene, Dunstan, who
performs under the sobriquet
“Carwash,” saw his music
work recognized and
performed by one of
Trinidad’s powerhouse
steel orchestras - world-renowned
Trinidad All Stars -
back in 1998.
Equipped with Dunstan’s
track called “Me and
Meh Lady,” All Stars
went to the 1998 Panorama
competition of that
year, eventually placing
third in the country’s
national championship
behind Exodus and Nutones
Steel Orchestras.
Though he has not been
continuously a household
name on the national
stage, Dunstan has persevered,
and composed and recorded
his works through the
years. For 2010,
his offering in the
music arena was “Pong
It.”
To get both his 2011
track “The
Alien Steelband”
and his latest contender,
new for 2012 - “Million
Dollar Music” out of
the studio, Dunstan
again placed his music
in the capable hands
of veteran ace
musician
Pelham Goddard.
