Antigua and Barbuda - Gemonites Steel Orchestra is much more than a steelband or musical organization.  Yes, they are the producers of the renowned "Moods of Pan Festival" and yes, they are respected and much sought-after performing artists in their own right.  And when it comes to making the festival a success they are willing to become cooks, bottle washers and doormen.  They are there to do what is needed to make this operation a success.  No job seems to big or to menial for anyone in their organization.  Indeed, they are humble, committed and expect success in everything they are involved in.   Moreover they are an integral part of their community and the Antigua and Barbuda nation.

The Moods of Pan Festival - the brainchild of Gemonites, has steadily grown each year since its inception, in outlook and recognition.  The involvement and support of major sponsors like Sagicor Financial Corporation, The Stanford International Bank, Community First Cooperative Credit Union and the Jolly Beach Resort,  among others, in real and tangible ways that effect positive change on the lives of  the Antiguans and Barbudans, is a testament to the foresight and business expertise of Gemonites. As one interacts with the members of Gemonites you realize that they are really a 'throw back' to the early days of the steelbands in many respects, when they represented the villages and communities they were from.  Steelbands were made up of larger-than-life figures, and  were looked upon to organized and provide additional functions to their communities beyond musical entertainment.  Gemonites clearly has accomplished this thorough its international presence and commitment to local educational programs that foster cultural development.
