Rhode Island, USA - The University of Rhode Island (URI) will present steel pan artist and composer Aaron Abrahamson Cote with his Caribbean Jazz quartet Panoramic View in a free concert on International Jazz Day 2014. The band will feature works composed by Cote, many of which were published by Hillbridge Music in his new book, Sea Breeze.
The Wednesday April 30, 7:30 p.m. concert will be followed one hour later by a hands-on workshop inclusive of a question-and-answer session discussing Cote’s compositional process, unique inner workings of the steel pan, music career development, and more. The venue is the URI Fine Arts Center on the University campus at 105 Upper College Road in Kingston, Rhode Island.

Abrahamson Cote on steel pan, Joseph Godfrey on piano, Matthew
Passeroni on bass and Mich Muller on drums. The band will be
releasing an album later this year with performances of original
compositions by Cote.
