Moods of Pan 2008 Festival

If it’s the last weekend in November, there would be only one place to be at that time of the year - on the beautiful Caribbean island of Antigua for the annual Moods of Pan (MOP) Festival. Whether you are a student of the instrument, historian, educator or fan - MOP is the place to be. The three-day festival is truly about the steelpan music instrument and all that surrounds it. There is no other authentic steelpan music experience like this in the world. The MOP 2008 was an educational, cultural, musical and spiritually uplifting experience.

Some of the greatest names ever associated with the steelpan instrument graced the MOP stage over the three-day festival.  Len “Boogsie” Sharpe, Robert Greenidge, Hell’s Gate, David Rudder, Ralph MacDonald, the 25 A-Side showcase, Five Alive and Another Side of Pan were just a few of the artists and features enjoyed by this year’s attendees.

The Moods of Pan Festival has steadily  grown in importance and statue.  It is now a recognized brand of steelband music excellence known all over the world.  Below is the 2008 coverage of MOP with articles, live interviews, pictures and videos.
