Pan Music 24-7

Without Compromise

Let us hear your views

First up on this Cool Steel  edition is Project Steel, a group whose choice is a variety of mixed instruments, both electronic and acoustic.  The electric components are the keyboards, synthesizers and bass, and the acoustical instruments are the steelpans.  Project Steel features the talents of New York pannists, two on tenor and one on double seconds and their take of the late Grover Washington Jr.'s "Just The Two Of Us."

The selection from the last edition of Cool Steel  which got the most votes, submitted by email to panradio@panonthenet.com, was "I Want You Back" by Panorama Steel Orchestra from JapanVoted in at #2 and #3 respectively, were Desperadoes Steel Orchestra from Trinidad and Tobago with "Ordinary People" and New York's Utopia Pan Soul:  The Next Generation's "Santimanitay."
