The 2009 New York steelband panorama competition - there is nothing like it. Ten orchestras participated in this year’s competition. And in addition to the New York-based orchestras, Boston Metro from Massachusetts took part in the competition as well. Sonatas Steel Orchestra, from Crown Heights Brooklyn, won the 2009 New York Steelband Panorama crown, giving them their ninth panorama championship - a feat unmatched by any other orchestra in the United States.
