Registration deadline approaches
for Pan in the 21^st Century
& Pan Down Memory Lane

Trinidad - Single Pan Bands and Conventional Bands participating in the 2009 edition of Pan Down Memory Lane and Pan in the 21^st Century respectively are reminded that registration closes on Friday 20^th March.

Forms are still available from Pan Trinbago’s Regional offices in the North, South/Central, East and Tobago.

For the Pan Down Memory Lane competition which is open to registered financial Single Pan Bands members, participants must play a non-calypso tune in calypso tempo.

Conventional Bands of not more than 50 performing members taking part in the Pan in the 21^st Century competition are required to play tunes selected from the 21^st Century world beat repertoire.

Playing time in both competitions must not exceed six (6) minutes.

Preliminary round in both categories commence on Thursday 2^nd April 2009. Times and venues will be announced after the close of registration on Friday.

From the preliminary round, twelve (12) bands in each category in order of merit will be selected to compete in separate finals at the Arima Basketball Court, Arima, and Queen’s Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain, on Tuesday 14^th and Wednesday 15^th April 2008.  Starting times are 8:00 pm on each night.

Marsicans and Katzenjammers were the 2008 winners respectively, for the Pan Down Memory Lane and Pan in the 21^st Century competitions.
