- Performing at position 12, the band from La Horquetta,
Arima, amassed 473 points in the National Single Pan
competition at South Quay last night to take home the
$180,000. first prize.
La Horquetta Pan Groove under the musical direction of
Duvone Stewart had as its tune of choice Austin Lyons (Superblue)
“Unknown Band”.
In second spot was T&T Defence Force with 470 points
with Trinidad East Side Symphony in third place with 452
points.

Officiating at last evening competition were judges Hugh Borde, Michelle Dowrich, Marcelline Peters, Hetty De Gannes,
Victor Prescod and Rojelle Granger.
A total of $950,000. in cash prizes were presented to the 16 finalists after the competition.
