Rbtt Redemption Sound Setters will be the first band in the Conventional Large steel orchestra category to face the panel of judges on the night of Saturday February 21 at the National Panorama Finals, Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain.  The competition is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m.

Playing Winston Gordon’s arrangement of the Edwin Pouchet/Alvin Daniell composition “First In De Line”, the Tobago-based steel orchestra will start the battle of the big guns.  They will be followed by Sagicor Exodus, WITCO Desperadoes. Silver Stars, and bp Renegades in second, third, fourth and fifth spots, respectively.

The next two bands, Neal & Massy Trinidad All Stars and Siparia Petrotrin Deltones, will perform in positions six and seven. Defending champions Phase II Pan Groove round off the night’s competition in eighth spot.

Additionally, when the curtain rises at this year’s Finals on Saturday evening, the spotlight will be on Dr. Leroy Calliste aka Black Stalin, guest artiste, who will perform his 2009 calypso, “Respect The Steelband.”

The National Panorama Finals (Large Steel Orchestras) produced by Pan Trinbago, is one of the signature events on the Trinidad & Tobago Carnival calendar.
