Sixteen (16) Large Conventional Steel Orchestras shall be subject to a count and receive the adjudicators’ comments at their respective pan yards on Tuesday 15 February 2011 from 7:00 p.m.
As a result, all of the bands
listed below will automatically proceed to the National Semi Finals on Sunday 20 February. The sixteen Large
orchestras will join the other 28 semi-finalists in the Small (14) and Medium Bands (14) categories for the “Savannah Party” at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain. Starting time is 9:00 a.m.
Separate panels of judges will adjudicate each category.
According to the rules and regulations governing Panorama 2011:
“No Large Conventional steelband shall be permitted to participate in the preliminary competition with more than one hundred (100) players; however, in the Semi-Final and Final, Large Conventional Steelbands shall be permitted to perform with one hundred and twenty (120) players maximum.”
Single Pan Bands will have
their own competitions.
Prices of admission for the National Semi Finals are North Stand - TT $300.00; Grand Stand
- TT $260.00.
