Global - Couva Joylanders came in at position one at the conclusion of the National Panorama Medium conventional steel orchestra preliminaries. The band from South/Central earned 260 points for its rendition of “Band from Space” arranged by Kenneth “Panam” Clarke.
Defending champions Katzenjammers from the sister isle of Tobago amassed 252 points for their performance of “Keshorn – The Javelin Champion.”
The fourteen semi-finalists in this category will share the Queen’s Park Savannah stage with seventeen Large steel orchestras on Sunday 27 January, from 12 noon.
Tickets for the Semi Finals aka “Savannah Party” went on sale on Monday at the Ticket Booth, Queen’s Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain, and Atherly’s, Sutton Street in San Fernando. Tickets are in the range of TT $300.00 to TT $350.00 for the North Stand, North Greens and Grand Stand.
