Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - It is a big evening for steelpan in the Eastern region of Trinidad as steel orchestras compete in panyard judging for the preliminaries. On Wednesday February 5 Sangre Grande Cordettes Steel Orchestra is scheduled to kick of performances in the medium category. In all, seven bands are on the competition card, with an expected start time of 7:00 p.m. AST (Atlantic Standard Time).
Katzenjammers Steel Orchestra from sister isle Tobago, working with champion arranger Kersh Ramsey is gearing up for its third consecutive championship, having copped the coveted trophy and prize purse in 2023 and 2024.
